Tim Schott, CPA

Tim Schott is the president and founder of ATON Advisors.

Prior to ATON, Tim was a founding partner of Strongwater Schott, a Denver-based wealth planning firm.  At Strongwater Schott, Tim was recognized by 5280 and ColoradoBiz magazines as a 2009 and 2010 FIVE STAR Wealth Manager. The designation put Tim in the elite group of just 8 percent of Colorado's wealth managers.

Before establishing Strongwater Schott in 2004, Tim was a financial advisor for AXA Advisors, a firm that provides financial, retirement, business, and estate planning to a variety of clientele. Tim also spent seven years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a worldwide advisory firm and the largest of the Big Four auditing firms, where he departed as a senior level manager in the technology practice. At PwC, Tim worked in the Audit and Business Advisory Services group, working with clients ranging from venture-financed startups to multinational corporations.

Tim graduated cum laude from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. At UNC, Tim was a four-year letterman on the varsity football team. He has served on the University of Northern Colorado Foundation Investment Committee, the UNC Accounting Department Advisory Board, Holy Name Catholic Church Pastoral Counciland and the Lowry Community Master Association Board of Directors. He is currently a high school football and youth baseball coach.  Tim lives in Steamboat Springs with his wife Kristin and their three children, Riley, Ben, and Ryan.


 

Kristin Schott

Kristin Schott is the director of sales of ATON Advisors.

Prior to ATON, Kristin was a project manager and recruiter in the Denver office of Two Degrees, one of the nation's fastest-growing professional services firms that places talented accounting and finance professionals into full-time, interim, and permanent positions with a wide variety of organizations. At Two Degrees, Kristin was a top-producing project manager for her entire 13-year career, working with some of Colorado's most renowned corporations.

Kristin started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a worldwide advisory firm and the largest of the Big Four auditing firms, where she specialized in the financial services practice, working with such investment management firms as Janus, OppenheimerFunds, and Berger Funds. Kristin was with PwC for four years.

Kristin received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. She and Tim live in Steamboat Springs with their three children, Riley, Ben, and Ryan.
